Address Update Phase
☐Update vehicle RC at new address (RTO process — start early)
☐Update voter ID and gas connection address
☐Notify society management committee about move-out + RWA dues clearance
☐Confirm refrigerator defrost timing (24-48 hours before move)
☐Withdraw cash for moving day expenses (₹5,000-10,000)
7 Days Before
Final Prep
☐Pack room-by-room — bedrooms, kitchen non-essentials, bathroom non-essentials
☐Defrost refrigerator (start 48 hours before)
☐Schedule house cleaning at origin for after move
☐Complete bank passbook and document organization
☐Confirm with mover supervisor — get name + direct contact
1 Day Before
Moving Eve
☐Pack essentials box — 1 week clothes + toiletries + meds + documents + cash
☐Disconnect appliances and electronics
☐Take final meter readings (electric, water, gas)
☐Charge all phones/laptops fully
☐Prepare snacks and water for moving day

Moving Day
Execution

☐Verify driver permanent ID and truck registration number
☐Watch loading sequence (heavy items at bottom, fragile last)
☐Keep essentials box with you (never load on truck)
☐Photograph truck loaded with carton count visible
☐Sign inventory list confirming everything loaded
Arrival Day
Setup
☐Inspect each carton for damage BEFORE signing delivery receipt
☐Photograph any visible damage immediately + supervisor signature
☐Verify all carton numbers against original list
☐Direct unloaders for room placement (saves your time later)
☐Test electronics before mover leaves (ensure not damaged)
☐Pay final balance only after satisfactory delivery
Day 1-7 After Move
Settling
☐Unpack room-by-room: kitchen first, then bedrooms, then living room
☐Set up internet, cable, gas, electricity connections
☐Update Aadhaar address at uidai.gov.in (biometric center if needed)
☐Register with new doctor, dentist, school for children
☐Submit insurance claim if any damage discovered (within 7 days for most policies)
☐Leave Google review for movers (helps future customers)
